I've thought about other people thinking about it. Haha Does that count? Sometimes I try to put myself in a murderer's shoes to see what caused them to commit murder. But also just to see how well the shoe fits. The more heinous the act, the harder I find it to relate to the person, or to find little external excuses for them.
Then, sometimes I'll find myself in a tough situation and I'll wonder if this would be enough to trigger a murderer. I'm kind of putting a murderer in my shoes to see how they'd handle it, which is, in effect, me fantasizing about murderering in certain situations. It's kind of a fun exercise along the lines of enjoying a movie with a murder plot.
