King James had many helping with the 1611 translation.
Die is the word translated, not "shall die" and the word is "muwth" which can be used literally or figuratively. This word "muwth" is used 90% of the time in translating die, it is the common word used for die or death. Like I said it can and is used figuratively.
King James told those translators not to show kings in a bad light, he didn't get his way with that, they translated for the truth and did a good job, they also were at a loss for some words and some of those words are still lost to us. Many of the modern day translations had many people from many denominations working on them, they set up very strict rules to be followed and those rules were followed without question.

what do you mean some of the words were "lost" in translation !? dont you think that if translating means that Gods Word will not be translated perfectly then it shouldnt be translated at all ? a change in 1 word or removal of words can change the entire understanding of the intended message . Isnt adding to or taking away of Gods Word spoken against in the bible?
