No, my answer would not be the same because the question you pose does not imply that a certain group should not be able to adopt simply because they are part of that group. The question you pose seems to ask if anyone should be able to adopt without a screening process, to which I would reply "no." The fact that it should only depend on the skills of the parent is obvious, but when it comes to gay adoption, it is only obvious to those of us who are not under the impression that gays are evil. Because so many people think gays are horrible, the matter is much less obvious, in this context.
