Subjectivity of the bible

Yes, I realize that in some cases a person's perspective of reality can be completely impaired. It sounds like you're saying that lgbt people have an impaired perspective of reality. You also say that they live in "sin" which, if that's your only argument against homosexuality, falls flat on it's fucking face because you and I both know that I am never going to believe in that crap. So why bother? This whole rant seems like some attempt to "school" me or something. Yeah, I get that there are literal definitions of the term mental illness. I will be very clear about something which I know you will disagree with; I think you and isis are mentally ill for believing in god and believing in sin. Your delusion that god exists makes you believe that homosexuals are going to be punished for having sex, you believe that isis is simply following their culture and not being driven by a delusion that they're praising allah and going to the afterlife.

Also, what the fuck is with you constantly misinterpreting what I'm saying about LGBT people and mental illness? I am accusing you of saying that lgbt people have a mental illness, because every time I bring it up you tell me that I can't discount the fact that at least some of them must have a mental illness? What is the fucking point? Are you saying that their mental illness must be the cause of their same sex attraction? That's bullshit. Besides, you said anyways that you think it's a sin, but you also seem to be trying to say that it's an illness. So what is it? You, trying to tell me that some lgbt people probably have a mental illness seems so fucking pedantic. Yes, some of them could have depression, or bi polar, or schizophrenia, or any other sort of mental affliction, but we're not even arguing about that in the first place because it's already demonstrable. I'm saying that being lgbt does not by default make you mentally ill and I'd like to see some pretty amazing research that refutes that, because I have never seen anyone come up with a solid story before, besides "muh bible." Your fucking bible doesn't make your prejudice beliefs sacrosanct. That is why I call you homophobic, because your beliefs are offensive towards gay people. You are biased towards gay people and your world view says that we are fucked up.

I am not misunderstanding the word misinterpret by the way. Different cultures can interpret the bible in different ways, there's always going to be different beliefs regarding the bible. Some people believe islam is the religion of peace, some people believe that islam is the religion of killing infidels. Some people believe that the bible says that being gay is a sin, some people believe that the bible doesn't actually say that. I think the really important point is, does anyone really have a reason to believe anything that the bible says should be taken to heart? I don't mean a "reason" as in something arbitrary, I mean is there any real pragmatic reason to believe any of this is true? All you do is base your world view off of something that someone else said. Something someone 2000 years ago, before the age where information was easily spread and people made many significant discoveries that could be shared. Your world view comes from a fucking intellectual dark age, which is what we see in these bibles. It's not valid, it will never be valid. Frankly, it needs to be destroyed.
