It is. Atheism is 'about' a lack of belief in gods,period. However,it is not a world view,religion,philosophy or ideology. That you seem to think so,is is your right. However,I have no interest in meeting your personal expectations.

Yes,but we're talking about religion. I'm also underwhelmed by Hitchens' polemics, which can be quite shrill. I've seen no evidence that the world would be noticeably better without religion..Human beings as species would remain unchanged; self interested, greedy and stupid. There are worse things than than religion.Eg totalitarianism, with its personality cults to replace religion.
