Question: do you think it's morally wrong but are okay with it being legal or do you think it should be regulated identically to murder?
There are a lot of things I think are morally wrong but should not be illegal. Like prostitution, recreational drug use, suicide for cancer patients, etc. I don't find those things moral one bit but I think they should be legal because people can do what they want with their own lives.
Abortion is different because there is a victim involved. It isn't just something you do to yourself, but rather, you are taking away the right of someone else. In this case, you are taking away the unborn human's right to life. I do believe their right to life should be protected under the law. Unless in cases where the mother would die, then it becomes a medical issue up for the family and the doctors to deal with.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
