I primarily like about Ep IV, V, VI the way it presents different contrasting locations, and how we see through the eyes of someone stranded on a remote and almost forgotten outpost gradually discovering the huge, colourful and magical universe around him along with its history. This sense of wonder is completely absent in I,II,III for reasons that are unavoidable given the subject matter (interstellar charades and big politics from the get-go) , but from the trailers it seems that it has a chance to be taken up again by VII by introducing a new generation which sees the remnants of the past battles, but is apparently again unaware of the Jedi history and all that magic sauce. I am afraid though, that the film will spend too much time making references to IV-VI and too little time being an independent story.
