I bet none of your characters know "Rhonda". They just go about their daily lives as we do...
It's in our nature to "not believe" in something we can't know anything about!
The new sandbox algorithms has done away with our "edge of reality".
They're tricky bastards alright. Luckily we've widened up to them.
One day, your characters with ignore what you write and rebel, mark my words!
They're already rebelling. I've already had to change stuff when one character put his foot down and refused to do what I told him and another character reminded me of something I had him say ten chapters ago.
But one day the bad guy will rebel against his death when I'm the one who made him bad. Then I'll just have to be mean and nasty.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.
