Also underestimated the sheer logistics of a monumental construction project.
The only suitable location I had found was the Starlight, which I had only developed enough to farm settlers. I have only a workbench, a couple of small generators, purifier, beacon, and a couple of lights. Which materials should I leave in Sanctuary? Fuck if I know! Take as much as me and Cods... I mean... Codsworth and I can carry. Which, BTW, ain't very fookin' much, so make a couple of trips.
I'd like this build to be at least as technologically improved as what I've built in Sanctuary, to wit - a generous amount of generator power to power an electrical grid that covers half of town and a good part of the riverbank to the left of the bridge, which is where my six very profitable industrial water purifiers are at. Have a shit-ton of agriculture going on.
I'd kind of like Starlight to be 100% windpowered.
I'm kind of stumped as to how to get my happy little settlers to find their beds inside instead of standing around like dumbfucks. Hello, there's a ladder. I don't dare build it any higher until I solve that problem. I may have to take it apart and make the entrance more accessible. That's going to blow my turret budget to cover.
Dumbfuck settlers. Why can't you dumb fucking dumbfucks path to your bed? If they don't start behaving, I might have to move *everything* inside my fortress and lock the fuckers out to work the fields and stand around like dumbfucks 24/7. I can scrap their shacks and beds and pitiful belongs for raw steel and wood. What the Sole Survivor giveth, it taketh away too. They can share the bed in the snackbar attic. Until I need cloth.
I'll get around to really improving the lots of the peasantry after I make a bit more progress on the massive monument to my character's ego.
