A simple spreading of the word throughout forum world would insure that this action likely isn't taken again, but do I need to resort to discussion with an admin first? Or would it be simply best to make the conversation public.

Some people just don't know the difference between discussion and just being an asshole.
Being an asshole is no easy life, people hate you just for being what you are. Isn't that just horribly unfair, that you get kicked when you act like what you were made to be!
