I used to feel the same my friend, but please don't ever consider Pascal's Wager because it is proposing a 50/50 bet, and it does not include the thousands of other possibilities that you may be worshipping the WRONG God. It's just a terrible reason to believe, and if anyone ever pulls out the Pascal's Wager card, study up and you can absolutely DESTROY it.
Yes, at first atheism is a bit cold, but Mark Twain's quote put a nice little spark in my day with this, "I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it." If you really think about it, we actually DO have personal evidence that there is NOTHING when we are dead because if you try to remember back before you were born, it's just nothingness. It's total BLISS!!! Praising God at His feet forever and ever singing hymns sounds pretty damn dull to me. But hey, if you fancy that type of thing, I can maybe see why you would want to believe in Jesus.
