Look, I'm not being obtuse I'm being technically correct: There is no sub-definition of "atheist" that means "used to be a theist but lost belief in god", no definition of "atheist" specifies specifically loss of belief in gods.
Point is I didn't become an atheist, but I am an atheist and I'm an atheist by every definition of the word itself.
And the type of "atheist" I am by every definition, is a weak atheist. But regardless, by any definition of "atheist" I am an atheist, and I don't think I've ever believed in god.
It's an underlying meaning of the word. Many atheists happen to be former theists, that's a fact.
Instead of arguing about this so much why don't you tell me how you would've phrased the wording of this thread so as not to sound too pedantic and at the same time be accurate enough so as not to attract wiseass remarks? Constructive criticism instead of pointing out obvious stuff and lingering on the meaning of words I fully comprehend without you giving me a lecture about it. It's another thing altogether that you have such a low opinion of my intelect that you think I don't understand what you're trying so hard to convey, but I'll overlook that in the interest of making some progress, instead of bickering about meaningless stuff.
