Back when I was doing many TV installs, my work divvied out about 50% DirecTV, 30% DISH, and the rest split amongst several cable providers.
Seems like about once a year I would get in a screaming match with DirecTV, once a month with DISH, and for reasons that are still mysterious, never once with a cable provider.
I think a part of the cable mystery was around here, if you have cable, you also have the 'bundle' and are saving some bucks and are willing to put up with some crap. Also, in the smaller communities, there are lower expectations, LOL, for their local cable provider.
My biggest recurring shit hemorrhage With DISH was not being able to get the local hub to put the equipment on the installers truck that was called for on the work order. I'd spend some time with the client, assess what equipment they needed, then we would call the DISH home office, negotiate the best deal for programming and equipment, and then the SOB at the local DISH office would not put something on the truck we needed that was called for on the work order, and then it turned into a pissing contest. Oh, I always eventually won, but it might take 1 to 1 1/2 hours on the phone, screaming and carrying on, to get there.
Biggest pisser these days is DirecTV REALLY REALLY wanting every TV in their system to have it's own individual receiver, no mirroring anymore. Most cable providers are there already, requiring some kind of converter box for every TV, once they discontinue all analog channels.
DISH, bless their crappy little hearts, are still supporting multiple TV's per most of their receivers.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
