In the summer I have no problem staying awake and hardly drink any caffeine, but in the winter I start bingeing coffee hardcore.
Yesterday I had about 32 ounces of (caffeinated) coffee and 32 ounces of (caffeinated) diet soda and I still almost nodded off at my desk. I'm seeing a sleep specialist (again). They'll figure it out. As of right now, I'm trying to do stuff like keep all the lights on in my apartment until it's time to sleep and such.
Maybe the problem is psychological, if everything else fails. Did you consider talking to a therapist about it?
