And, the "offending" paragraph:
Quote:Science doesn't draw conclusions about supernatural explanations
Do gods exist? Do supernatural entities intervene in human affairs? These questions may be important, but science won't help you answer them. Questions that deal with supernatural explanations are, by definition, beyond the realm of nature — and hence, also beyond the realm of what can be studied by science. For many, such questions are matters of personal faith and spirituality.
Bullshit! How about the complete, instantaneous healing of a verified adult amputee?
You don't even have to get that specific.
Whenever a god claim makes statements about how the universe or life came about, they are directly making statements that are within the purview of science, and thus can be studied by science.
Whenever a theist claims their prayers are answered, they are claiming to be a "god detector". Again, this claim can be studied.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
