There is so much evidence for the evolution of our own species (not to mention every other species), I don't know how anyone can continue to be a creationist without being profoundly retarded.
And we are not all that special or successful when in comes to survival. Anatomically-modern humans have been around for about 200,000 years. Behaviorally-modern humans have been around for maybe 50,000 years, and who knows how long we've got left. Australopithecines were around for a whopping 2 million years, I doubt we can aspire to such longevity.
