We aren't the only animals in the world who eat other animals, but we are the only ones who consider the possible intelligence of a food source as a good reason not to kill it. We don't tend to eat dogs or dolphins or apes.

Pigs are extremely intelligent though. Comparable to dogs. 

Which is also the reason why I hardly ever eat pork. Just feel way too guilty.
