Godschild Wrote:Ghandi rejected Christ, even though he may have lived a decent life he never repented of his sin against God and a sinful soul will not be allowed into heaven.
To recieve salvation one must repent of his/her sins and accept Christ as savior.
This is precisely what's so wrong about religion, and Christianity in particular. If you spent your whole life hurting other people but repent of your sins, and accept Jesus as your savior, you still go to heaven. If you spent your whole life helping people and doing good, but never repent of the 'sin' of rejecting God, you're going to hell.
Some foundation for morality. As long you kiss God's almighty ass before you die, you're good to go. God sounds awfully petty and selfish. He cares more about being worshiped and not having his feelings hurt ('How dare you reject me! You'll burn for that!') than for the actual suffering of human beings.
