Pointing out that you fit a certain label is not exactly speaking for you. It's more of a disagreement concerning what a certain word means.
Plus arrogantly applying labels to people over their objections. It's not that doing so is never justified, but it's rare for it to be justified or worth putting someone on the defensive, even if you were right. In general, I'm happy to use the labels people pick for themselves. If I disagree, that doesn't mean I should hammer on them until they accept what I want to call them.
