No, you will not be able to get the same amount of oil from Canada; the standard you see today existed only after the oil evolution post WW2, and the deal Nixon made with King Faisal -Saudi Arabia-. That is the only thing that made the Dollar so strong. Without that, America wouldn't have became what it is, go as the experts.

Well, the fact is that we already import three times more oil from Canada than Saudi Arabia.

The dollar petrodollar was a valued commodity because of American stability, not because the oil came from this or that country.

The world wouldn't fall. There would be an economic crisis, perhaps, but the other oil producers -- Russia, Canada, Indonesia, Nigeria, Venezuela, and others -- would rake in a fortune at the higher prices. On the other hand, if -- make that when -- the Middle East runs dry, you will see Saudi Arabia slide into irrelevance and probably revolution. I, for one, won't shed a tear.

it's just sad, to see that these are forgotten. It's even more sad, to demand me to bring an evidence from the robber, about him robbing the goods of others. 

What's even sadder is watching someone who obviously has a very weak command of the facts prognosticate as if he were an expert.

You actually don't know how I think; you're making an unjustified assumption based on the fact that I don't agree with you.

I'm not saying "Americans" are robbing us. Though there are certain people, who infected your governemnt (like Nixon), and didn't just rob Arabs; they robbed the world. 
Can you understand what it means, to cancel gold as an exchange for the currency, and replace it with oil ?

If you think I'm with the Arab governments, or I'm a nationalist, poor you is so mistaken. Nixon's sin is being protected by the Arab regimes after all. But the mainstream will always keep their heads inside their big macs, ; living the dream.

Nothing serious replaced fossil fuel, and saying Canada will replace what countries like Saudi Arabia used to produce, is just ignorant and insulting to our brains.

When oil is dry, and the only remaining sources are so scarce, wait for the bomb..you know what I mean. Nuclear winter.

Do you live in America? Do you live in a capitalist nation? When's the last time a major invention came out of the Middle East? Do you understand the concept of market forces?
