And your home is not the only place you'll need them.

I've never needed a firearm as a civilian. And "some scenarios" needs expanding, I think.

That doesn't mean you'll never need them or that others didn't already need them.

A good scenario would be if a bunch of jihadists started killing people in a public place you happen to be in.
