I can't give a specific recommendatuo, but I would buy something that can be flashed with DD-WRT firmware (Google is your friend here) and then do exactly that. Stock firmware as a rule sucks badly and has poor feature sets.
I personally like the Netgear WNDR3500 and WNDR4500 flashed with DD-WRT. I don't know if either is still available, nor can I guarantee suitability for your application, but those are products I have had good success with in less than ordinary use cases.
