Read up on history and science. Instead of religious heroes find secualr scientific ones: Abe Lincoln, Mark Twain, Albert Einstein and Neil de grasse Tyson amongst others.

Quite the reverse. My childhood was almost devoid of religious indoctrination and as such the idea of theism was an irrelevance to me, till 9/11, when it became quite evident what suitably motivated theists could do to the world. That's when I woke up and saw the truth behind the curtain, belief in god leads people to irrational actions.



You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
