Only for dumb asses. If you are stupid then you have to spend more time in school to become less of a dumb ass.
This is absolutely true.
20+ years ago striaght out of high school I took a summer's worth of trade school and I made 35K as a mechanic my first year. with in 5 i was clearing 80K (could barly read or write) I had a pell grant for 1500 dollars that paid my trade school off. and no other bills. So @ 22 years old I making crazy money because the job market I was in was screaming for qualified techs and everyone else went off to collage to put on a white shirt. Now i run my own business and pay people to do this work for me. The only time I ever spent in college is to repair a piece of refrigeration equipment.
Education has it's place, but it is not for everyone. to pretend that it is the answer to everything is a lie. Education is a crutch/tool rather excuse used to pacify people who simply do not know any better. The truth is we are not all created equal. some of us are smarter and they will always excel while others will always struggle in certain pursuits. The religious aspect aside, Paul tells us were are all like different parts of the same body. We can't all be the same. If we were all a eye and had properties of an eye where would the sense of smell be? where would the sense of taste be? Rather than push this fool's fix of education onto everyone we should be about the business of helping people identify their particular strengths and weaknesses. (helping the eyes see better helping the hears to learn to listen rather than trying to fit the mold/follow the model of seeing the eye needs to take.)
