I don't think religious institutions or training expect their marks to take them anything less than completely seriously. That's how they manage to suck the life out of their human livestock. It doesn't work if the flock thinks you're joking, wink wink. I think they know they have plausible deniabilty and multiple layers of legal protection between themselves and whatever their flock may do on their advice...and so they don't give a shit.
