Again if everyone gets educated with a bachelors, then that degree has no value. it becomes what a high school diploma is now.

It's the COST. Yes it's free to the student, but it will indeed cost the government, ultimately the tax payer a sh*t load of money to send people to school to advance their 'educations' just to put them in a marketable employment position of a current high school graduate.

Which makes the new gold standard a masters or doctorate... So then is boin-ey going to raise taxes again to pay for the new master/high school diploma people will need to get a min wage job?

Not only that who is he going to raise taxes on if those with money decide to keep it and leave?

So, there was a time when most people barely got a grade school education.  Did making everyone get a HS diploma or equivalent destroy the job market?  No.  Did you know there were people just like you who fought against requiring a HS education, arguing that it would ruin the country? And yet, cheap labor has never been hard to come by.

Now Add 52K to 140K per student per degree to place this poor kid in the same entry level position on a job that a current high school diploma will buy you today. You will double the cost of what the government currently spends on education by adding those next four years, and by flooding the job market with 4 year degrees it becomes the new base line, just like the high school diploma did. Before WW2 the base line was based on the highest grade you were educated. Which means someone holding just a diploma will be like jethro Bodine who only gad-u-ated the 6th grade.

The point being made is this extra expenditure the government will make in a 4 year degree does not increase available jobs that a 4 year degree use to buy you. It will chase those jobs away (like it did in vermont) because of the high taxes needed to pay for the extra 4 years. Not only that if everyone has that degree and their are less jobs to be had because industry has left, then the common jobs currently held by high school diploma-ed people will be given to the 4 year collage people first.

Or were you not around in 2008 when so many collage people lost their jobs and their was a surplus of people with 4 year degrees who couldn't find anything besides menial work?

At the same time we encourage more people o get a higher education, we should also encourage them to get a BETTER education.  Get more people into the STEM fields, where the market is not overrun and indeed is very low on qualified people, and less people in liberal arts or history.

Is burnie going to pay for that as well?

And if people chose to get a liberal arts degree and then go pump gas for a living?  Well, that is their choice, and I'd rather have the population as educated as they want to be.  And yes, I'm willing to pay for it, so we the quality of living goes up for everyone. If my neighbors are more educated, then my life will also be safer and improved.

so again if 200 million people in the US get business degrees and their only 50 million high paying jobs (because again big companies will not stay) that require that degree, what does the surplus then do with their worthless degree? They get a job as a gas station manager (that someone with a HS diploma would normally have) make just a few bucks more than the guy pumping gas...

There are other countries where there is free or very cheap higher education, and NEWS FLASH, they have better economies and public welfare than we do.

Not every rich person can leave the US if we raise taxes on them, not even most of them.  50 years ago they paid and didn't leave, they can do it again.  Where will they go?  Most of Europe is worse with taxes on the wealthy.  Russia?  South America?  You are just a selfish prig wrapped up in your own fear mongering.
