Dream on, as Aerosmith said. You really believe, farmer John would pay more for naturalised citizens? Or company X would pay a living wage for their cleaning stuff. If you subscribe to that, you're even further removed from reality than I though possible.
See this is how backwards your thinking is. Naturalized citizens would demand more, and farmer John would have to pay it if it wasn't for cheap labor. It's the reason companies move to China for the cheap labor, or even Mexico. Instead of bringing in illegal immigrants, why not encourage US citizens to work the jobs instead? When a business decides what to pay an employee, it's based on the market average for said position. If you can find a way to keep the average low, the wage average remains lower. It's one of the ironies of the left, they demand higher minimal wages, but don't understand the economics how to achieve it. Since Americans are so poor, they can't afford to pay higher prices for goods, thus they go to walmart to buy Chinese made crap, and the spiral continues. Illegal immigration is doing nothing but keeping the wage gap low, the poor down, and the corrupt system going. The solution on the left is to keep the corruption going, but tax those who they think are rich making over 200k, and businesses which actually create the jobs.
Why don't the left start becoming entrepreneurs, and take the risk of getting loans to start businesses, to create jobs?
