It would be absurd. It doesnt matter if your gods exist or not. They would be responsible for creating this cold, dark cosmos and the absurdities that arise when humans are introduced into a cold, dark universe. So therefore said gods are not worthy of worship, and to do so would be intellectual suicide...even your gods decided to run through a "portal" to get the hell away from this cosmos, so therefore their own actions speak clearly of their absurdity.
I know you are joking around, but the funny thing is you might just be correct.
