Well, at last a little recognition! I think it's time I've been rewarded for my tireless efforts. All you Canadians should start sending me some cash or I will no longer protect you from hurricanes! And US currency only! I don't want that monopoly money with pictures of birds on it.

This reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. I don't recall the specifics, but the kid and his tiger go from one bad thing to another in rapid succession. In the final panel the kid surmises, "You know. I've discovered that things are never so bad that they can't get worse."
