I doubt very much that we (the planet techies) have enough info to achieve geoengineering

Actually, we appear to lack enough information to avoid geoengineering even if we want to.

I think that if we all point in one direction and fart at the same time we could slow down or speed up the rotation of the Earth.

The wind would whip around the earth, hit you in the face, and slow you and earth down again.
