I love my daddy so much and sometimes I just can't understand how he can think this way. It worries me. And makes sad that for all we agree on this is something we'll never eye to eye on. And all I want is for him to see 250 years old, and scold his great great great grand children. Sigh.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I know what you're going through I went through the same thing with my dad and I sympathize with you it is a tough situation to deal with. I can see that you and your dad have a special relationship and that you need him like I needed my dad. I hope he is around for you for many years to come, mine was. The reality of life is that we are not promised anything, life's tough and full of surprises good and bad, no one is excluded, everyone will face adversity and good time. We have to learn to deal with the adversity and to welcome the good things. It seems your dad has a way to deal with adversity, by allowing God to help him through this hard time for him, pleas remember this is hard on him too, even if he doesn't show it, dad was the same way, dad's what to be the rock of the family even in their times of pain and fear. It seems to me you trust your dad and I hope you will listen to him, he could very well be right you know, this is all I'm going to say about his faith in God to you. The best thing you can do for him at this time is stay strong or at least pretend to so that he can concentrate on getting better and make the medical decisions he needs to. I know this will probably upset you but I think your dad would be happy about it, I'm going to pray for you and your dad, I do this because it's the best way I know to help those I can't be in direct contact with and even those I pray for. Please be patient, your dad at times might not seem the dad you have known, heart problems also affect a persons mental state at times, nothing serious but sometimes he might not seem to be quite the same, give him time and all your love.
