What exactly do you mean by preserving parts of your culture?

Forget it. Just try keep it out of this thread. Continue the discussion about trans, as the thread was intended.

Mixed racial couples is related to a great extent because the same xenophobia religion once had about gays and far too many still do, they had about mixed couples. The new target is becoming transgendered because they know they cant do it to gays anymore. 

Now the truth is that every nation in the world has pockets, some to greater or lesser degrees of having trepidation of outsiders, even my x wife who was Japanese could tell you, while they love the west now, even now it is hard to migrate and live there and fit in depending on the family you might mix with. And even she said she hated being confused with Koreans. My x co worker was Puerto Rican and he didn't like being confused with Mexicans. 

And gays and trangendered are still widely frowned upon in far too much of the world still but religion takes that fear of others and makes it worse. Muslims will hate the mixed couples I mentioned in the prior post as much as they hate gays. In the west however our secular law has allowed for a more growing equality in spite of religion. 

Raise your kids to think for themselves and let them be who they are as individuals and let them chart their own future and especially let them love whom they love. But some people have not accepted that kind of progress.
