But, I agree that the artifact IS very interesting.
And when it has been fully examined it can be claimed by Jordan (for all the good it is going to do them)
Its a bit more than that. It is a mystery/doomsday cult.
I see lots of assumptions in this article. One is the cross in front of a tomb. the cross goes back much farther than Christianity. A tomb is a tomb. Assuming it is Jesus' tomb is another matter. It may be the tomb of Moses...or David. why not assume the tomb is theirs as well since we are assuming things.
It would be interesting to see how this pans out. The codices are quite beatiful, well made, and I tend to agree with the last paragraph suggesting this was made for personal use instead of liturgical, but I am no expert on this subject. Perhaps there was a shortage of materials in the day it was created, so priests had to "make do" with what they could get.
Great post tack..thumbs up for you.

This must be about the earliest biblical artifact discovered to date no?

It appears that most artifacts in the time period (first century), are difficult to differentiate between Judaism or Christian. The book of Revelations was supposedly written in the late 1st century. These relects are usually quoted as "posssible reference to (such and such)". not very specific. Too much assumption.
