Even if the multiverse isn't corroborated somehow-, we are talking observable universe. The whole will probably be incredibly larger. The flatness of the universe we see kind of suggests that we only see a tiny speck of the whole.
Exactly, we can't observe the entirety of the universe we are currently in. Light from the most distant objects hasn't reached us yet. Also the shape of the universe is impossible to know since we only observe from our location as the "center". If you scroll all the way to the right on this app you'll see how there is allot of stuff out there we can't see, and a lot we will probably never be able to see.

Also the "Big Crunch" is looking less likely:
Quote:This model offers intriguing possibilities of an oscillating or cyclic universe (or “Big Bounce”), where the Big Crunch is succeeded by the Big Bang of a new universe, and so on, potentially ad infinitum. However, in the light of recent findings in the 1990s (such as the evidence for an acceleratinguniverse described ), this is no longer considered the most likely outcome.

"holy" books are vague and word and go threw who knows how many translations and then scholars look at them and decide what they mean and disagree often enough that there is so much ambiguity you can twist the things to say almost whatever you want. You can cherry pick what you want from the book and then spin it to have the meaning you require. That's all this is.
To think a god or gods would assemble their rule-book and/or guide to good livin' in such an backasswards way is funny to me.
If you reaching for reasons to believe and therefore start cherry picking version and seeing if you can fit them in to what we know scientifically, I think you have to ask yourself why you want to believe in the first place? What's got you feeling this way?
If you answer that you may find that there is no need for a god or gods, but perhaps a more human need for understanding.
