There is an article I posted earlier today that says the DOD considers non-religious to be CURRENTLY 20% or higher in the armed forces. I am hoping that by the end of my lifetime that America is at least 40 - 50 percent of the population. The net will have the greatest effect I predict. Many will say 20 years from now that they came to atheism/non-belief through the net as their number one reason of deconversion.
I hope my prediction comes true.
For so long religion has been dominant and influential. It's about time it died and let science take over and with no more interference with the advancement of knowledge and society.
Give it a few decades, it should become so weak it can barely stand at all. Hopefully....

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
