Is the practice based in scripture.

I can see why you admonished us not to bait you into trapping yourself with your words.


So if a practice is sound according to the Bible, that makes it a Christian and moral practice, right?


So if a man rapes a virgin woman, he can pay the father fifty shekels of silver and marry her to absolve himself (and gain a wife), right? If he rapes a married woman, kill him, unless she doesn't scream loudly enough, then kill them both (I forget if you're supposed to kill the husband, too, but probably). Soldiers may seize wives from conquered peoples, so our boys overseas should be able to have their pick of the brown women if they like. Eating shrimp is an abomination, though, so I'm going to Hell for working at Red Lobster.
