I'm currently working on doing something about my need to drink 2 liters of 80 proof a week. And I need some friends. I went to private Christian school when I was a kid and it as horrible.
Don't know what else to say. I've been an atheist since my teens, when my brain matured with an epistemology more sophisticated than "Goddidit." I'm 38 now. Two kids.

If your drinking causes you to do stupid things like getting physical with others, or drinking and driving, then sorry, it is no longer just a risk to your own health.
I am no fan of some who while will feel sorry for a middle class or rich person with an addiction, when a poor person has the same, they are automatically treated like scum. Addiction affects all classes. Now if you are functional and non violent, then you certainly are entitled to destroy your own body, just like with smoking. But when you risk the safety of others, that goes beyond hurting yourself. Outside that, if you are worried about your health, that is also another reason to stop.
But as far as being trans, that by itself does not entitle anyone to be a dick to you. Other people's baggage does not have to be yours. Do the best you can. Keep your nose clean and be yourself.
