Then there's the question of whether we are "the same person" from one moment to the next. Physically we are not, which is going to alter us mentally as well. It's just kind of convenient to string it all together and call it "a person's experiences".

This subject seems to have taken on an ironic Buddhist flavor.

The experiences are in no way separate from the experiencer. We don't exactly live inside our own phenomenological experience... We ARE our phenomenological experience.
