I doubt it's actually described in buddhism at all...more an issue of buddhists -seeing- or -hearing- buddhism everywhere, in every comment made by anyone on any subject.  Bit like this thread.

I was thinking this as well.  It's like the people who look at passages from the Bible or Koran and say "See?!  They were explicitly talking about the Big Bang/expansion of the universe/vacuum of space/etc in this passage!" because they found a handful of vague terms that can be interpreted with modern knowledge to mean what we want them to mean.
