Not necessarily. The only qualifications for "God" that I can see are (1) conscious (2) powerful enough to get the ball rolling and (3) did so. The idea that God has since expired like all things in the universe has occurred to me. If this is the case, we need to honor Its legacy by building on the foundation we inherited.
