Either your parents can't easily afford doctor(you can judge of it by how luxurious lifestyle your family leads. Sorry for being captainobvious). Or you mother wishes to use this chance as a trail for you, so you become more religious in the process. For example attend church with her, so everybody could pray for you.
Its a ploy, i was told straight up it was jesus knocking on my heart when i first told her. She just wants me to be religious.
