Just wanted to say hello to everybody here. I am glad that I found this forum.
I was raised in a Christian society. That's just how it is. There are very few people in my circle that I can say anything to without them becoming hot under the collar and defensive. No one is up for really thinking critically about or even challenging the concept of god amongst other things. All of my close friends and relatives believe in god to some degree.
Last week and I know that this was my own fool fault, I went to a Christian event with a friend because she had invited me over to her place for the weekend and since she's a devout Christian I went with her. I had no problem doing that. I like spending time with her. Wrong move. Long story short, I was referred to as an evil spirit and a demon because I didn't join in the singing and dancing and praising "god".
So anyway...that led me to actually try to find people that I can share with freely without being labelled a demon, or lost or someone that needs to be prayed for
. I just want to be left alone.
