Up until fairly recent history, women were virtually property of their husbands. Women certainly couldn't run for public office. The NT of the Bible calls for women to be silent and have no authority. Michelle, are you sure you want to appeal to history and biblical values?

Oh, right, "small government" only applies to regulation of corporations, not to our bedrooms. I forgot. Just like "austerity" only applies to 98% of the country, but the rich can keep their tax cuts.

Actually, yes they are. They have the power to strike down laws that are unconstitutional. Someone needs to take a remedial course in civics.

I'm so sick of conservatives whining about "judicial activism" every time they don't get their way. They didn't whine like this after Bush v. Gore (a classic example of Judical over-reach).
