That still dosen't mean people are not interested in shows about it or entertained by them (However, I'd also say this show is of just as much interest to people interested in history, or even Atheists...I'll give it a watch). Football is bullshit too really, but it entertains me, but not everyone.
If we went around and started getting rid of stuff just because a group of people objected to it then we wouldn't really get much done. Ideologically of course, I believe the BBC should have an opt out system (as I feel this sort of enforced, mandatory tax is not really fair), if it was possible to make sure that person didn't have further access to any BBC output that is, but that would be difficult to impossible to enforce (but that's a different topic altogether).
hey i'm not sitting here telling everyone to give up their religions just to suit me (although it would be a good fucking idea). i can live perfectly fine with people believing in fairy tales if they want to. i just dont want it displayed on my tv which i am paying for. that's not too much to ask is it?
the difference between religion and football is that people aren't going to be lectured about some mystical giant goal net in the sky who created the earth from a giant football pitch by watching football. football exists only to entertain. a religious program filled with bullshit doesnt.
