I also often wonder if she isn't a tad aspie. Super smart, not good a social stuff. Her teacher told me she's like a middle aged woman trapped in a child's body.
Just beware, don't excessively tell her she's smart and gifted, instead tell her how hard she's worked. Otherwise she'll get a fixed mindset i.e she'll believe one can't improve, one is limited by genetics which is detrimental, kills grit and motivation. With a fixed mindset if she's bad at something she'll probably leave it alone instead of trying to improve and get good at it.
