Christians, would you have saved Jesus, if you had he chance?

This is for both theists and atheists to answer.

Imagine you travel back in time, and have the opportunity to save Jesus from being humiliated, tortured horribly, dying a slow painful death, having his body desecrated by the Roman guards, etc.

There is no question that your attempt would be successful. 

Would you?

absolutely not!

His whole purpose was to die.

I'm glad you don't have a job with the Samaritans .... As you stated you would let a man commit suicide because it will benefit you 

You state he could have saved himself ... death on the cross being his belief it would save man .... so either suicide or delusion ....
