The Bible tells me so.
Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Since it's established that Jesus rose on Sunday, the day before is Saturday and Mark and Matt establish that Jesus arose after the sabbath. You do the math.
Deist Paladin, although I give you kudos for looking this stuff up, and I greatly respect your knowlegde of the bible (Hell, me and you can probably go toe to toe on our biblical knowledge and really have a great theological debate)..please remember that this is Dogschild you are posting to. If you expect it to change him in any way... but you are much smarter than that. I have told myself "no more posting bible verses for dogschild".
Not trying to tell you what to do... just kind of giving you a friendly nudge.
