The BBC in no way gives religion in general, or a specific religion, excessive air time. It represents the views of (whether we like it or not) a fair sized part of the population proportionately. I see no reason why the BBC shouldn't show religious programmes. You don't have to watch them, in the same way I don't have to watch any of the shit I don't like or agree with or in the same way a religious person probably dosen't want to watch (or fund) documentaries that are against their views or standpoint. To ban something because it dosen't line up with your ideals is the exact sort of bullshit many of us hate about oppressive and fundamentalist religions. If we are all paying to fund the BBC it is only fair that all sides of a subject are told.
