It seems as if the discussion had fizzled anyway.  Arguments were given but there was no counter-argument.

I'm curious what argument was given that was never countered?

I made a specific argument about the conflicting goals of the forum and the prevailing U.S. legal opinions pertaining to them. Others argued that the forum was following the law of the land in making the distinction that it does.
