I can relate on so many levels, CD. My mind goes at a rate of 100 mph and I can't get it to shut off. Every once in a while a melatonin helps. I cannot ever take scripts like Lunesta or the like because they cause me to become non-functional once I wake up. By non-functional, I mean I am awake and I can talk to you, but I cannot move, I literally cannot move. It's very scary to know that you are literally paralyzed for a few hours and you are helpless to do anything.
I have been pulling more and more all-nighters lately. I don't like it. But my biggest problem is not being able to shut down my brain. I also end up having to take a nap around 11am. I don't like broken sleep at all.
